‘Stepping Up’: Pollstar Live! Digital Panel Highlights Pivoting, Philanthropic Efforts

In the first Pollstar Live! Digital Panel, representatives from throughout the live industry spoke about efforts to help individuals, families and institutions in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Broadcast live on Pollstar’s Facebook page, the participating panelists were Andrea Carter, VP of Corporate Social Responsibility, Atlanta Hawks & State Farm Arena; Matt Hyman, Vice President of Platform Sales and Integration at LNKBOX and of Production4Health; Robin Shaw of Upstaging; Michael T. Strickland, Founder of Bandit Lites, Inc.; and Eileen Valois, Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Sports & Fan Entertainment for PRG.

The panelists discussed their various philanthropic efforts, including the Hawks’ efforts to feed thousands of families and medical workers in Atlanta; Production4Health’s networking efforts to connect industry workers to medical industry workers and local governments; Upstaging’s use of its transportation and manufacturing resources in the fight against COVID-19; Bandit Lites’ advocacy, use of infrastructure and labor, and support of local artists’ using its Venue One rehearsal space; and PRG’s pivot towards manufacturing thousands of face shields in New York and the construction of a temporary hospital in Berlin.

The Pollstar Live! Digital Panels are a new form of digital content to complement the One-on-One sessions from Pollstar and VenuesNow. Pollstar recently had the chance to talk with Dayglo Presents founder PeterShapiro and prior to that OVG Media & Conferences President Ray Waddell sat down with AGI Founder and Chairman Dennis Arfa.
